Handled Social

Terms of Service

Effective 12 September 2026.

These terms cover your use of Handled Social at https://www.handled.social. Handled Social is operated by F3 Strategy. "We" and "us" mean F3 Strategy. "You" means the business that signs up and the people it lets use its account.

If you sign up, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What the service is

Handled Social is a managed social media content service for small businesses.

  • You give us a brand profile: what your business is, where it is, your hours, prices, website, how you like to sound, and what you never want said. You can also paste in your own material.
  • We use an AI model (from Anthropic) to write first drafts from your profile and pasted material and, when the influence library is switched on, from the photos, videos, and words in your library.
  • When the look engine is switched on, the AI model also describes your look from the photos and videos in your library, which changes nothing until a person on our team approves it; each draft then carries a brief for its picture that follows your look. When the timing and context engines are switched on, we suggest when to post from your time zone, your opening hours, when your own posts went out, public holidays where your business is and the promotions we plan; a suggestion never schedules or publishes anything.
  • A person on our team reviews every draft before it goes anywhere. Nothing is posted automatically. Our team publishes approved posts by hand, using Page or partner access you grant us in Meta Business settings or the equivalent on other platforms. We never ask for, accept, or store your social media passwords.
  • Reports are posted to your dashboard after a person on our team has reviewed them. We do not email reports.
  • When the influence library is switched on, you can upload photos, videos, and words to your library to guide your posts; the same rules in these terms apply to what you upload. Other file uploads are not currently enabled.

Your account may be set so that you must approve each post before we publish it. Ask us if you want that.

Reading your Instagram and Facebook posts

For some accounts, our team links your Instagram professional account (and, if it is connected too, the Facebook Page it belongs to) and keeps a copy of the posts you have already published there. Here is exactly how that works:

  • You connect it from your Settings page. Meta's login dialog asks you to choose the Facebook Page and the Instagram professional account linked to it, and issues our app an access token for your business. Someone on our team can also connect it for you from our admin tools, using access you have already given our business in Meta. Either way you never give us a password. If that Page is connected as well, that happens after Instagram, with the same confirmation made again for the Page's posts, and it uses the access already given.
  • We read through Meta's Graph API. The token Meta issues for your business is stored encrypted and used only to read; a connected Page keeps its own encrypted copy. Pressing Disconnect erases our copy of it for that account and stops every read of that account at once; removing our app under Connected apps in Meta Business settings revokes the grant on Meta's side as well. Either is enough to stop us reading; do both to be thorough.
  • Everything we read is read-only. We never write to, post to, message from, comment from, or schedule on your account through any platform API.
  • The data we request from Meta is: a description of the token Meta issued (its type, expiry, permissions, and your business portfolio ID); your Page's id and name and the linked Instagram account's id and username; and for each Instagram post, its id, caption, media type, permalink, timestamp, and username. If you connect your Page, we also request the Page's own access token, which Meta requires to read the Page's posts and which we use for that read and do not keep, and for each post the Page itself published, its id, text, attachment type, link, and time. Meta's answers also carry its own paging and rate-limit details, which we use only to page through results and to know when to pause. We store the token encrypted with its type, expiry, and portfolio ID, and for each post the caption, the link, the date, the media type, and the post id. When the newer voice engine or learning controls are switched on, each draft also keeps a fingerprint of each caption it was shown as an example, never its words, which stays after the post is deleted. When photo and video copying is switched on for the service, we also request, for each Instagram post, the temporary addresses of its photo or video, of a video's thumbnail, and of each photo or video in a carousel, with their ids and types, and we store copies of those files, one small preview image we make from each photo, and each file's size, type, fingerprint, and source address (and a photo's or video's dimensions and a video's length), in private storage. While that copying is off we download no photos or videos, and we never download those of your Page's posts. When performance measurement is switched on for the service and you have reconnected to grant the instagram_manage_insights and read_insights permissions, we also request the numbers our Privacy Policy lists under Performance numbers: counts for each of your posts and totals for your account, never who anyone is.
  • We do not request messages, the words of comments or who wrote them, follower lists, posts other people write on your Page, or other users' data, and while performance measurement is off we request no insights either. Captions you wrote may mention other people; those mentions come along with the caption.
  • Before an account is linked, a person confirms that your business has the right to let us reuse those posts. When you connect from Settings, that person is you: you tick the confirmation and we record you and the time on the connection. When our team links it for you, the team member ticks it and is recorded instead. We do not treat access alone as permission.
  • We keep the copied posts so that they may be shown to the AI model as examples of your voice when we draft for you. Copies of their photos and videos are kept so that our record of what you have published includes them and, when the influence library or the look engine is switched on, so that small copies of them can be shown to the AI model with your drafts or to describe your look.

Reading your X posts

When reading X is switched on for the service, you can connect your brand's own X account from Settings, with the same confirmation. X's screen asks for permission to read your posts and profile and to stay connected, and nothing more; we store the tokens X issues encrypted and use them only to read your own posts, not your reposts or replies, which we use exactly as we use your Instagram posts. What we keep follows X: a post deleted or edited on X is deleted from our copy within a day, and we carry out a deletion request from X or from you within twenty-four hours. Disconnecting X deletes every post we copied from it.

2. The plan and price

There is one plan, "Handled," at $1,500 per month. Billing is monthly in advance through Stripe.

  • The plan covers up to 60 generated post drafts per month. The limit counts drafts we generate, not posts published. Once 60 drafts have been generated in a billing period, no more are generated until the next period. There are no overage charges.
  • When the new plans are switched on, three plans are offered in its place: Starter at $1,570 a month with 20 image posts and 2 video posts, Growth at $3,175 with 40 and 6, and Scale at $6,145 with 80 and 12. On those plans a post counts when it is approved to publish, one post on one platform at a time, and a draft never counts; editing an approved post, or approving it again after you pull it, adds nothing. The included posts reset on your billing date and do not roll over. Past them, each extra image post is $40 and each extra video post $210, charged on your next invoice, up to a monthly spending limit you set; with no limit set, or once the next post would pass it, approvals wait until you raise it or the period resets.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe on its checkout page. Stripe collects your card details and billing email; we never see your card number.
  • When the billing portal is switched on, it opens Stripe's own billing page, where you can see your invoices and update your card. Stripe collects the new card there, and we never see it. That page does not let you cancel or change your plan.
  • Promotion codes may be applied at checkout.
  • There is no long-term contract. Your subscription renews each month until it is cancelled. You can cancel any time by emailing us; we confirm the end date and stop future charges. We do not prorate partial months.
  • There is no cancel button in the app, or on the Stripe billing page it opens. Email us and we handle it: a person on our team cancels the subscription in Stripe and replies to confirm.

3. What you are responsible for

  • Accurate facts. Everything in your brand profile and pasted material should be true. Drafts repeat what you tell us. If your hours, prices, or claims are wrong, the posts will be wrong.
  • Rights in what you give us. You confirm that you own or have permission to reuse everything you give us: your brand profile, pasted material, your past Instagram and Facebook posts, and any files you upload once uploads are available. That includes the right to reuse captions that name other people, staff, customers, or other brands. When our team links your Instagram account or your Page, the person on our team doing it must confirm, on your behalf, that you have given us that permission, and we record who confirmed it and when. When you upload someone else's work to your library as a reference, you confirm you may keep it and have it described to guide your style, and you are responsible for what you upload; we never reproduce it in a post or attach it to one, and our software refuses a draft that repeats its sentences.
  • Your account. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what people you add to your account do. Ask us to add or remove people on your account; there is no self-serve invite. When someone is removed we keep a record of who was removed and when.
  • Meta's rules. You remain bound by the Meta Terms of Service, the Instagram Terms of Use, and the Instagram Community Guidelines for your accounts, and you confirm you have authority over them. The same goes for any other platform's rules. We publish only content you have approved, or that our reviewer has approved under your standing instructions, using Page or partner access you grant us.
  • Final say. You are responsible for what is published under your business's name, including any legal, regulatory, or advertising rules that apply to your industry.

4. What we are responsible for, and what we are not

We will:

  • Have a person review every post before it is published.
  • Only publish by hand, never by automated posting.
  • Only read your own published Instagram, Facebook Page, and X posts, never write to, post to, message from, or schedule on your account through any platform API.
  • Handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not promise:

  • That posts will increase followers, engagement, sales, or any other result.
  • That posts are legally or regulatory compliant for your industry. We are not lawyers and do not give legal, medical, financial, or advertising-law advice.
  • That the platforms will give us analytics or performance numbers: when performance measurement is on we show the numbers they give, say when they give none, and compare them only with your own past posts.
  • Direct-message or comment handling, paid ads, or a social inbox. Those are not part of the service.

AI drafts can be wrong. That is why a person reviews them. Do not rely on any fact in a draft without checking it yourself; AI output can be false, incomplete, or out of date. Our review catches many errors, not all. If a mistake gets through, tell us and we will correct or remove the post as quickly as we can.

5. Who owns what

  • Your content is yours. Your brand profile, pasted material, past posts, and any uploads stay yours.
  • Drafts and published posts are yours. Once we produce a draft for you, it belongs to you. Our AI provider assigns its output rights to us, and we pass them to you.
  • Your permission to us. You give us permission to store, read, and use your content to set up your profile, draft, review, and publish posts, learn from your posts and their photos and videos, uploads and edits what suits your brand, suggest when to post, prepare your reports, and keep the records the service needs. Drafting uses an AI provider (Anthropic) that keeps what we send it for up to 30 days and does not train on it. We do not use your content to train AI models either. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent.
  • Your Instagram and Facebook posts. We use the posts we copy from your Instagram and your Page, and any photos and videos copied with them, only to draft and review content for you, to learn from them how your brand writes and looks for those drafts, to suggest when to post from when they went out, and to keep a record of what you have published. We keep each client's data separate, never show it to another client, never sell, license, or trade it, and share it only with the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, who act on our instructions.
  • The service is ours. The Handled Social software, name, and design belong to us. You may not copy or resell them.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Handled Social to:

  • Post content you do not have rights to, or that is defamatory, deceptive, harassing, or illegal.
  • Impersonate another business or person.
  • Ask us to publish to accounts you do not own or control.
  • Try to break into, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

We may pause or end service for an account that breaks these rules.

7. Ending the service

  • You can leave any time by emailing us to cancel. We confirm the end date and stop future charges.
  • We can end service if you break these terms, do not pay, or if we stop offering the service. A person on our team will tell you by email.
  • Your data after you leave. Your account is not deleted automatically when you cancel. If you want your account, brand profile, and copied Instagram and Facebook posts removed, ask us using the steps on our Data Deletion page; a person on our team removes them following a written internal procedure. Any files you uploaded are deleted from storage as part of the same procedure. Some records are kept for accounting and audit reasons; that page explains which.
  • Disconnecting Instagram or your Page. If you ask us to disconnect your Instagram account or your Page, we stop reading its new posts. When you disconnect, we delete the posts we copied from it, and any photos and videos copied from it usually within six hours.

8. Deleting your Instagram and Facebook data

We delete copied posts, and any copies of their photos and videos, when a connection is removed or an account closes. We also delete them, and the connection to your account, when you ask, when we stop offering the service, or when Meta requires it.

The quickest way is Disconnect on your Settings page, which deletes the posts copied from that account and our copy of its token immediately, and the photos and videos copied from it usually within six hours. You can also email ryan@f3strategy.com with your business name and your Instagram handle or Page name, or follow the steps on our Data Deletion page, and a person on our team handles it. We acknowledge emailed deletion requests within 5 business days and complete them within 30 days, and we reply again to confirm when it is done.

When learning controls are switched on, you can also delete our copy of a single post from your library, which deletes its caption at once and its photos and videos usually within six hours, or forget a post for learning, which keeps it but stops us learning from it until you undo it, whether for all learning or for one kind only, such as its words or its look.

9. Plain-language disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as-is. We will do careful work, but we cannot promise it will be error-free or always available.

To the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for lost profits, lost customers, or indirect damage caused by a post, a delay, or an outage.
  • Our total liability to you for anything under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
  • You agree to cover us for claims that arise from content you gave us without the rights to it, or from facts you gave us that were false.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version here with a new effective date. We do not email about changes. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.

11. Contact
